LowTE Florida Vitamin ADK 5 & 10

Most Americans — due to the prevalence of processed food, soil quality erosion, poor gut absorption, and other factors — don’t get nearly sufficient nutrition through the modern Western diet.
Over 90% of my patients will originally test low in Vitamin D – and I mean low, lower than the reference range.
Getting enough vitamins A, D, and K isn’t optional; each of these “essential” vitamins must be sourced exogenously. All these support unique physiological functions that we’ll explore here.
LowTE Florida ADK 5 & 10 packs research-backed, highly bioavailable forms of each of these vitamins in concentrated doses in single, easy-to-swallow pills.
LowTE Florida ADK 10: The powerhouse trifecta
Vitamins A, D, and K work synergistically, meaning each enhances and amplifies the health benefits of the other, as we’ll touch on coming up.
Each LowTE Florida ADK 10 capsule contains:
- 1,500 micrograms (mcg) of vitamin A (as retinyl palmitate)
- 250 micrograms (mcg) of vitamin D3 (as cholecalciferol)
- 500 micrograms (mcg) Vitamin K2 (as menaquinone-7, or MK-7)
LowTE Florida ADK 5 & 10 is gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free.
Vitamin A (as retinyl palmitate): Function and benefits
You might have heard vitamin A is associated with good eye health. It’s true; vitamin A is a powerful elixir for eye health. But its health benefits extend far beyond the eye. From Community Eye Health Journal (emphasis extra):
- “Vitamin A is essential for many physiological processes, including maintaining the integrity and function of all surface tissues (epithelia): for example, the skin, the lining of the respiratory tract, the gut, the bladder, the inner ear and the eye. Vitamin A supports the daily replacement of skin cells and ensures that tissues such as the conjunctiva are able to produce mucous and provide a barrier to infection. Vitamin A is also essential for vision under conditions of poor lighting, for maintaining a healthy immune system, for growth and development and for reproduction. Vitamin A supports many systems in the body.”
Vitamin A is so critical for optimal immune function, in fact, that researchers in a 2005 study published in the highly respected Cochrane medical journal found a statistically significant reduction in mortality in children under two years old infected with measles.
Vitamin D (as cholecalciferol): Function and benefits
Another vitamin essential for optimal immune function, to keep you healthy in a world full of pathogens — one that a striking number of Americans don’t get enough of — is vitamin D, AKA the “sunshine vitamin” due to its absorption through sunlight exposure.
Vitamin D status, as demonstrated in several studies — which I share often with my LowTE Florida patients to illustrate the vital importance of this nutrient for your immune system and other aspects of health — is closely aligned with COVID-19 outcomes, as well as outcomes associated with virtually every type of infectious disease.
“Researchers in London used data from the UK Biobank cohort to assess the association between vitamin D levels and both COVID-19 infection and hospitalization,” per Medscape. “Vitamin D insufficiency and deficiency were associated with 19% and 36% higher odds of COVID-19 hospitalization, respectively, than normal vitamin D levels.”
But immune support is by far not the only benefit of optimal vitamin D levels.
In fact, it’s difficult to overstate the role that vitamin D plays in virtually every aspect of health.
Other health benefits conferred by the sunshine vitamin include:
- Strengthening and maintaining bones via greater absorption of phosphorous and calcium
- Decreasing heart disease, multiple sclerosis, dementia, and risk of other chronic illnesses
- Reduced incidence of depression, anxiety, and other mental health disorders
- Supporting metabolism and healthy weight loss
- Fostering a healthy gut microbiome (and alleviating symptoms of Crohn’s disease, IBS, and IBD)
Why are Americans’ vitamin D levels at an all-time low?
The clinical bloodwork I perform for my LowTE Florida patients — even here in sunny southern Florida — squares with the national-level statistical data that we see regarding vitamin D deficiency.
“Three-quarters of U.S. teens and adults are deficient in vitamin D, the so-called "sunshine vitamin" whose deficits are increasingly blamed for everything from cancer and heart disease to diabetes,” according to a research review from Scientific American. “The trend marks a dramatic increase in the amount of vitamin D deficiency in the U.S.”
Why are vitamin D levels at an all-time low?
The phenomenon of rampant vitamin d deficiency is likely due to a variety of factors, including:
- limited exposure to sunlight (we largely work and live indoors)
- poor diet, and poor gut health (resulting in sub-optimal vitamin D absorption through dietary intake)
- excessive sunscreen use
- lack of consistent testing by medical providers
For patients visiting my office, a quick and affordable blood test — which I recommend as a routine procedure for everyone — can confirm
Vitamin K (as menaquinone-7, or MK-7): Function and benefits
Without a doubt, vitamin K2 — specifically in the form of highly bioactive menaquinone-7, or MK-7 — is a critical partner to vitamin D.
Any vitamin D supplementation regimen should include vitamin K2 for the following reason: K2 ensures that the calcium absorption facilitated by vitamin D results in the calcium being deposited in the bones where it belongs rather than in the blood vessels, which can lead to plaque buildup and, ultimately, cardiovascular disease.
K2 supplementation is perhaps most critical for aging women due to that demographic’s particularly high risk of osteoporosis and debilitating bone fractures. Numerous high-quality studies, including most recently one from August 2025, find that “K2 supplementation has a positive effect on the maintenance and improvement of [bone mineral density]… in postmenopausal women, and it can also reduce the fracture incidence.”
In addition to strengthening bones and reducing heart disease risk, vitamin K2 also:
- Helps prevent tooth loss and periodontal disease
- May help to prevent cancer
- Improves blood clotting via activation of clotting factors
I think of K2 as the traffic director – sending Vitamin D directly to the bones.
The synergistic benefits of vitamins A, D, and K
Here are a few — but not all — of the reasons why pairing vitamins A, D, and K makes so much clinical sense:
- Vitamins A, D and K work together to encourage healthy bone formation via a protein called osteocalcin
- “To summarize available evidence of the synergistic interplay between vitamins D and K on bone and cardiovascular health… Current evidence supports the notion that joint supplementation of vitamins D and K might be more effective than the consumption of either alone for bone and cardiovascular health,” per the International Journal of Endocrinology.
- Vitamins A and D work in tandem to exert their potent anti-inflammatory effects: “At its optimal values (>30 ng/ml), vitamin D requires vitamin A for the binding to the vitamin D receptor and exert its anti-inflammatory action. Both vitamins must be supplied to the subjects lacking vitamin D,” via published 2018 research featured in Neurotherapeutics.
- Deficiencies in vitamins A, D, and K are commonly seen in chronic inflammation-related conditions like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), according to the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology
If you are not regularly testing for Vitamin D – then correcting it – you should.
